Building blocks
What does this mean? Similar to creating something fun and unique with Legos, the building block tools in Drupal allow you to use separate parts that combine to make a Content Type (CT) such as a Basic page more distinct. With our Drupal 9 template, you can create "chunks" of content containers using Paragraph Types (PT) and arrange them in ways that fit your needs.
Note: The Admin menu—located upper left corner as shown in a screenshot below—varies depending on the permissions role of the person viewing the menu. For example, a manager role has more options available in the Admin toolbar than someone with an Editor or Author role.

Content Types vs Paragraph Types
What is the difference? Content Types are the pages you can create in Drupal such as a Basic page. Picture if you will, constructing your website is somewhat like building floor(s) for a high-rise. If so, then Content Types represent each floor (e.g., Basic “floor”), and Paragraph Types are the different “rooms” per floor. You can also “paint the room” by selecting a section background from the Section (Configuration Column Layout), clicking the "Behavior" tab, and choosing from 1 of 9 background colors.
Nine Content Types
There are nine Content Types available: Basic page, Blog, Event, FAQ, Homepage, Listing, News Article, Person, and Publication. They can be found in the Admin menu "Content > Add content".
First, choose the type of page you’d like to build. Then in the Drupal edit screen—e.g. a Basic page—you can begin building your page using Paragraph Types.
Tips: [A] Click the "Drupal" icon to be in preview mode. [B] Click "Rebuild Cache" will empty all caches and rebuild the data required for Drupal to execute a page request; sometimes this is needed for the edit(s) you made to be shown.
Paragraph Types (18–23)
Paragraph Types allow the site manager or contributor flexibility to organize the content in multiple ways and the order in which they want to place them instead of putting all the content in one Text Area.
With 23 Paragraph Types (PT) available, a Homepage has one of the most PTs out of all Content Types. Shown below is a dropdown menu consisting of 18 Paragraph Types for a Basic page—a content type most often used.
